Spiritual Gifts (Uncle Charles and Great Aunt Mottee)

My 2 Family members whole are on different sides of my family through my parents. They are both filled with the Holy Ghost. They never talked before but they poured into me things that piggy back off each other. The thing that he is placing in there spirits to tell me and help me with finding my purpose and my Spiritual Gifts.

My Uncle told me to read 1 Corinthians Chapter 12,13,14. A few notes I got from it was our spiritual gifts we all have what ever they are all make up the Body of Christ. Then there was how to be a loving Christians and how to walk through the character straits of Divine Love. Also what three things a man have to put away, which are speaking, thinking, and understanding as a child (13:11)
This is the message my Aunt sent me on Spiritual Gifts
Hi Roland,
How's things going with you.  Sorry I'm just getting back with you.  I've been very busy and along with traveling a little.  I've sent you an attachment on the Spiritual Gifts.  From this list, go before the Lord and ask him which gift or gifts He will have you to work in.  When I did this years ago, I was fasting and praying.  He let me know of two gifts which are the gift of Ministry and the gift of Exhortation.  Then I had to continue in prayer because I needed a clear understanding as to what my Ministry is that he will have me do.  In the process of time, he revealed that to me very clearly.  The gift of Exhortation, I was needing to understand exactly what that word mean and what is that, and He gave me understanding of that gift also.  Over a period of years, the Lord has given me several more gifts.
He gives them according to our abilities and according to His will for our lives.
If you have any questions, please let me know.  If I can answer them, I will.  If I don't know, I'll find out.
Talk with you later,
Aunt Mottee
With all this being poured into me, praying, fasting, and seeking the Lord through the word. I should find my spiritual gifts.

Manifestation of His Word (Job)

A long time ago I had a wonderful job a Blair corp. I did customer service for the Express side of the building. I was 16 wen i started. I worked from May of 09' till March of 10'. I lost my job not because of attendance or work performance but because of my cell phone. When i worked there i was not humble, at school I would throw it in peoples faces that I major money because i was 16 and making 10.28 an hour. I was materialistic as ever. So now that Im a new creature in the Lord i no know i lost my job because he was using that with many other things to bring me closer to him. He had to knock me of my high horse. After that i struggled and did things to get money that I thought id never do. Attitude was messed up and negative. But i came out of the whole and found Jesus. Now that ive been growing in my faith and being obedient. Through prayer, reading Matthew 7:7-8, and waiting till the word i was reading manifested. A job that i applied to wen i wasn't saved in the summer, got discouraged that they didn't call me. Glory to God called me and asked if I still was interested in a Job. I just came from making a appointment to do my schedule. Walking back to my house i got to praise him and singing a song that isn't even real. Im so happy. God is Good.

Ordained as a Steward and Training to be a Armour Barrier

As my walk has been progressing through the word, through ministers, and a prophetic words from a Prophet of God. Everything is now making since. The Lord was dealing with me with the story of David. If your not familiar with the story he was the anointed king of Israel. He was a wonderful man after God's own heart. But also had a lot of worldly and fleshy problems. Anyways he was a great leader and God loved him for his praise. But from a doctrine a women of God gave me on the bus only by the move of God in her and us being in tune (but didn't know each other but for 3 days), broke down what a leader was and had examples thru the word. It said leaders just don't lead but the also served too.

With that being said this Pastoral Aids Ministry was starting up and something told me to do it at first. The second time was my Pastor (Curtis Henderson) asking me if i was lacking anything from the service by me being part of the Media Minister. Which is in the back. I told him no not really. But that was another chance for me to step into my next step of my walk. And the third time a word from the Pastor was so powerful and moving the last Sunday that it made me think and sum up everything that Ive been studying in the word and about my walk. My walk was moving into leadership but also serving. Before i came to that decision i had to go thru something as the Pastor said in part of his reading and ministering of the word last Sunday. So even though i already repented for what i went thru with a particular person and didn't act on that problem again, i repented again.

So with me moving into position like that humbling myself to the kingdom and my Pastor. My heart was moved to join the Pastoral Aids Ministry and be a Armour Barrier for First Lady and my Pastor, the leader with the vision to prosper the Kingdom of God and the church.

Testimony (Football)

I play football for the East High Warriors of Erie, PA. We had a game yesterday and i did extremely well glory to God. But the reason for this was because of my sacrifice. The book of Judges chapter 20 tell us about a great war that went on the consist of 3 battles. They prayed, fasted, and seek him. The first 2 battles were lost but the third time because of there obedience they defeat the foe even tho they were out numbered. This story drove me as such. I fasted, seek the Lord, read this chapter and prayed yesterday. With me doind that i went into this battle, this competition, this game with my mind focused on the game and God. I had 3 tackles and 1 interception. Even tho we lost, i won but for in me and a for a different battle. Spiritual battle. Establish a prayer life and be obedient to the voice of God.

Prayer Request (Bus Stop)

I was coming from football practice going home on my normal bus I ride on and it was just me and this young man in a wheelchair on the bus. The bus we was on was ending its route early because that particular bus was done. So we had to get off and catch the same bus.He was goin to Saint Vincents Hospital to see someone in surgery that mite not make it. So as we was talkin bout that and the situation around it. With the unfortunate happening of us having to get of the bus he may not be able to see this person and visitation ends at 8 and it was 7:40. The holy spirit prick my heart and said PRAY!!!! So I did, i dont kno if this man made it in time or if this person lived but God honors prayer. So i gave it all to him by sending my prayer up as a smoke signal as I joined hands with a person i didn't know.

Baptized

I was baptized on 8/15 in the Holy Ghost. That day I took up my cross and I started my journey of walking whole heartily with the Lord. Now Ive been baptized in the water. That's me showing God that I officially am giving myself to him. When I went down in the water I gave up living life thru sin and I came up a new creature. Also as i was riding down the street coming from service, there was this scripture on a billboard. It was John 14:6-11.

Revelation (Brother D)

On 9/8/10 thru the Holy Spirit I was told to give a word to a brother in the the church. I wasn't to sure that I was moved to tell him that. Because its common now for church folk to say "It was on my spirit" or "Thru the holy spirit" the lord told me something. So the Lord reassured me that he is they way, the truth, and the life by giving my Pastor (Elder Curtis Henderson) the same word thru him being sensitive to the Holy Ghost and the Spirit realm. During service on the Sunday after, this occurred on 10/03/10. Pastor was praying over people, and the man i ministered this word to was laying prayer shawls on people and the Spirit moved Pastor and told him to say the same thing I told him the Sunday before. I stood up started crying and just praising God...

Purpose

IT ALL STARTS WITH GOD

It’s not about you.

The search for the purpose of life has puzzled people for thousands of years.  That’s because we typically begin at the wrong starting point --- ourselves.  If you want to know why you were placed on this planet, you must begin with God.  You were born by his purpose and for his purpose.  The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your happiness.  It’s far greater than your family, your career, or even your wildest dreams and ambitions.

DON’T GET IN A HURRY

As you grow to spiritual maturity, there are several ways to cooperate with God in the process.

Believe God is working in your life even when you don’t feel it.  Spiritual growth is sometimes tedious work, one small step at a time.  Expect gradual improvement.  The Bible says, “Everything on earth has its own time and its own season.”  There are seasons in your spiritual life, too.  Sometimes you will have a short, intense burst of growth (springtime) followed by a period of stabilizing and testing (fall and winter).

What about those problems, habits, and hurts you would like miraculously removed?  It’s fine to pray for a miracle, but don’t be disappointed if the answer comes through a gradual change.  Over time, a slow, steady stream of water will erode the hardest rock and turn giant boulders into pebbles.  Over time, a little sprout can turn into a giant redwood towering 350 feet tall.

Keep a notebook or journal of lessons learned.  This is not a diary of events, but a record of what you are learning.  Write down the insights and life lessons God teaches you about him, about yourself, about life, relationships, and everything else.  Record these so you can review and remember them and pass them on to the next generation.  The reason we must relearn lessons is that we forget them.  Reviewing your spiritual journal regularly can spare you a lot of unnecessary pain and heartache.  The Bible says “It’s crucial that we keep a firm grip on what we’ve heard so that we don’t drift off.”

Be patient with God and with yourself.  One of life’s frustrations is that God’s timetable is rarely the same as ours.  We are often in a hurry when God isn’t.  You may feel frustrated with the seemingly slow progress you’re making in life.  Remember that God is never in a hurry, but he is always on time.  He will use your entire lifetime to prepare you for your role in eternity.

The Bible is filled with examples of how God uses a long process to develop character, especially in leaders.  He took eighty years to prepare Moses, including forty in the wilderness.  For 14,600 days Moses kept waiting and wondering, “Is it time yet?”  But God kept saying, “Not yet.”  Contrary to popular book titles, there are no Easy Steps to Maturity or Secrets of Instant Sainthood.

When God wants to make a mushroom, he does it overnight, but when he wants to make a giant oak, he takes a hundred years.  Great souls are grown through struggles and storms and seasons of suffering.  Be patient with the process.  James advised, “Don’t try to get out of anything prematurely.  Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed.”

Don’t get discouraged.  When Habakkuk became depressed because he didn’t think God was acting quickly enough, God had this to say:  These things I plan won’t happen right away.  Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled.  If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass.  Just be patient!  They will not be overdue a single day!”  A delay is not a denial from God.

Remember how far you’ve come, not just how far you have to go.  You are not where you want to be, but neither are you where you used to be.  Years ago people wore a popular button with the letters PBPGINFWMY.  It stood for “Please Be Patient, God Is Not Finished With Me Yet.”  God isn’t finished with you, either, so keep on moving forward.  Even the snail reached the ark by persevering!

THINKING ABOUT MY PURPOSE

Point to Ponder:  There are no shortcuts to maturity.

Verse to Remember:  God began doing a good work in you, and I am sure he will continue it until it is finished when Jesus Christ comes again.”  Philippians 1:6 (NCV)

Question to Consider:  In what area of my spiritual growth do I need to be more patient and persistent?

My First Ministering of the Word

One day I was torn coming from my friend house, between going home and going to play basketball. I choose to go home. As I'm walking to my house i see a old friend on my block. I spoke to him and we exchanged words. I told him bout my walk in Christ. Also told him to come through after he got done with what he was doing so we could chill and possible go ball. So he came over, we chilled caught up, and caught up. He got on the subject bout bout my walk and where he was at in his walk... He's of a different faith. He is a Jehovah Witness. But he hasn't been practicing his faith. So I started to plant some seeds and we ended up not going to ball but i ministered to him a scripture that i had with a small collection. As i preach this scripture, (Jeremiah 29:11-16) i started to just flow off the Bible. I was saying the same exact thing that was in the text but i haven't read it for some time. Also i didn't memorize it. i was so AWWED that he was using me as a tool like that I began to cry!
